Mewat Engineering College (Waqf) Library System consists of a Central Library which collectively supports the teaching, research and fully automated, web based and well equipped air-conditioned library. Library has a very rich collection and a wide range of text books, reference books, journals, magazines and non-print materials on various disciplines and various topics. The College library is divided in different section, Reading section, Circulation section, periodical section, Digital section. The library has also provided the facility for Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC), which provides information about library reading materials. . All students, faculty members and employees of the Institute are entitled to make use of the Library facilities on taking library membership. The library has provided open access system for accessing books directly from the shelves by the users.
The Library uses Libware software package which is an integrated multi-user library management system that supports all in-house operations of the Library. The Libware consists of modules on acquisition, cataloguing, circulation, serials, article indexing and OPAC. The database of books available in the Library is being updated on day to day basis with details of recently acquired books. Records of all the Library patrons have also been created in the Libware package. The updating activities are in progress.

The Mewat Engineering College (Waqf) - Library holds a rich collection of books on science and technology including computer science engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, management, chemistry, mathematics, physics, chemical engineering. Besides, Library also has a good collection in the areas of humanities and social sciences. The Library subscribes to more than 50 current journals.
The vision of the Library is to support the MECW to grow as a top ranked engineering and technology institute/college by establishing a knowledge hub and to enable access to information resources of all kinds and provide innovative, responsive and effective services to meet the changing needs of the academic community.
